JOB INFORMATION
Job Title	Factory Mechanic & Welder
Reports to (Job Title)	Factory Technician

Location	Spouts of Water factory (Nakawuka)
Country	Uganda

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure that all machinery and equipment in the factory are operating efficiently and safely.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
RESPONSIBILITIES UNIQUE TO THE ROLE
Responsibility		% Contribution to job’s performance
	To conduct repairs, maintenance, welding and fabrication of equipment at factory to ensure smooth running of the production process.	50%
	Perform safety checks and inspections on factory machines and equipment to ensure compliance with all the industrial standards.	20%
	To aid in machine operations and trainings on Standard Operating Procedures for factory machines and equipment.	15%
	To assist in the Installation and Assembling of new machinery and equipment as required.	5%
	To prepare and maintain records of repairs and maintenance for all machines at the factory to aid in decision making.	5%
7.	Any other roles added from time to time concerning departmental objectives.	5%

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications	Diploma in mechanical engineering, welding or any other related field.
Qualifications	Proven experience as a factory mechanic, welder.
Experience	2-3 years’ experience in the same role.
Experience	Proficiency in computer skills.
Business Understanding / Knowledge	Hands on experience with industrial machinery repairs, and mechanical systems.
Languages	Proficiency in spoken and written English.
